Since 2005, Medina County Economic Development Corporation has been a proud partner of Team NEO, a regional marketing organization composed of six metro chambers of commerce and local economic development organizations.
Team NEO promotes Northeast Ohio’s business assets, and generates high-quality business opportunities for the region and serves as an unbiased single point of entry to the entire 16 county region and advances Northeast Ohio’s economy by attracting businesses worldwide to the Cleveland Plus region. Their success has helped create more than 3,200 new jobs and $100 million in new annual payroll to our region since 2007.
Team NEO engages the State of Ohio, regional businesses and other organizations to best showcase Northeast Ohio’s capabilities. Once a company is interested in Northeast Ohio, Team NEO works with the representative from each county to gather local information and sites that may work for the prospect. As a company becomes interested in particular sites, Team NEO works with local community and county economic development professionals to help close the deal. Team NEO has the resources and connections to add value to all projects and works diligently to make success a reality and pledges to protect the anonymity of all private sector projects.
Medina County Economic Development Corporation regularly partners with Team NEO on projects such as regional Wage and Benefit Surveys which compiles invaluable information for our local businesses as well as site selectors, collaborates with the Communications team on marketing and branding our region; ensures that Medina County has a voice by partnering with Team NEO to develop a white paper for the State of Ohio regarding local and regional tax incentives; and prepares the Medina County showcase items for Team NEO’s Economic Development Impact Awards silent auction.
