CRM Donates Funds to Expand Science Programs in Medina County Schools

Press Release
Clinical Research Management Donates Funds to Expand Science Programs in Medina County Schools

For immediate release: February 15, 2006

Hinckley, Ohio – Clinical Research Management Inc. (CRM) is taking an active role in accelerating the pace of science education in Medina County Ohio.

Today CRM announced a commitment to make $25,000 available to schools, within Medina County, to fund projects and training programs related to science education. The company plans to make the funds available, over the next five years, and to solicit creative and innovative proposals from science educators. For 2006, a gift of $5000 is being made available to Hinckley Elementary School to provide for a Science Resource Center, which will help increase student exposure to science at an early age. The company plans to work with educators in the county to set criteria and goals for the program and to put a methodology in place to assess future competitive proposals.

“Recently, during his State of the Union Address, President Bush discussed the importance of accelerated education in science and mathematics in keeping America’s competitive edge in a global economy. As a company involved in the biotechnology industry, we feel it is critical for companies in our industry to do their part and take ownership of this process as well.” stated Victoria Tifft, President of CRM.

This is not the first time CRM has ventured into the education and development arena. The company has previously awarded a grant to the Highland School system and also participated in the development and operation of an internship program for high school students, in conjunction with the Highland Foundation. The President of CRM is currently developing a similar program with Brunswick City Schools and the Medina County Workforce Development Board. CRM employees also serve on, and participate with, numerous state, county, and educational boards and committees.

CRM supports the development of FDA regulated vaccines, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices for both government and commercial sectors.
