Cleveland State adds MBA Program in Brunswick

Cleveland State adds MBA program in Brunswick, making it easy to earn an MBA close to home or work.

The Nance College of Business Administration at Cleveland State University is partnering with the city of Brunswick in Medina County to offer a complete MBA program in Brunswick beginning in August 2007, bringing an accredited, high-quality and convenient program to residents and working people in the area.

The MBA in Brunswick joins the Nance College’s other successful MBA programs in Westlake, Mayfield Village and Solon. These highly popular, off-campus programs are ideal for professionals who must balance careers, homes and families. They have benefited hundreds of students throughout northeast Ohio over the past 10 years.

“The Brunswick MBA is affordable, flexible and made to fit adults’ busy lifestyles,” said Patricia Hite, MBA programs director. “It will now be much easier for people living and working in the area to achieve their professional and academic goals.

“Our affordable tuition provides a quick return on investment, and the proven lock-step format has a graduation rate of 96 percent,” she added.

The Nance College also has a successful track record of providing MBA programs at NASA, The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Lincoln Electric, Moen Inc. and Swagelok, Hite said.

MBA classes will be hosted in August at Designer Showcases, Inc., located in Brunswick’s Industrial Park complex just off West 130th Street on Carquest Drive. (Roger Boyer, president, is a Cleveland State graduate.) The 10-week, accelerated semester terms allow students to take two courses a week on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30-9:30 p.m., including summer.

Students who hold a bachelor degree in business may complete the MBA in just 15 months. A student whose bachelor degree is in a non-business discipline can complete the program in slightly more than two years. For added convenience, students may apply online and order textbooks online.

All Cleveland State MBA programs are accredited by AACSB International, the hallmark of excellence in management education worldwide. Fewer than one-third of U.S. business schools and only 15 percent of business schools worldwide meet the rigorous standards of AACSB International accreditation.
