2006 Medina County Business Awards Results

The winners for the 2006 Medina County Business Awards were announced on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the Third Annual Business Awards program which was held in conjunction with the Medina County Economic Development Corporation’s Autumn Speaker Series.

This prestigious event was sponsored by Westfield Bank and was held at the Blair Center in Westfield Center with more than 175 people in attendance.

Presenting the awards were Jim Doutt, Executive Director, Medina County Economic Development Corporation and Jon Park, President, Westfield Bank.

And the winners are:

Entrepreneur of the Year:

Ovation Polymers
Dr. Asis Banerjie, President, accepted the award.
Finalists also included: Healthcare Innovative Solutions and Labyrinth Management Group

Capital Investment:

BPR Rico Equipment, Inc.
Mr. Dave Mueller, President, accepted the award for BPR Rico Equipment, Inc.
Finalists also included: The Hoffman Group

Small Business Enterprise:

Action Flexo-Graphics
Mr. Doug Feesler, President, accepted the award for Action Flexo-Graphics.
Finalists also included: Chad Allan Consulting, LLC and Medina Vision & Laser Centre

Corporate Citizen of the Year - The judges chose two winners in this category

Mark Dorman, Dorman-Farrell LLC
Mr. Mark Dorman accepted the award for his contributions on an individual basis.

Western Reserve Bank
Mr. Ed McKeon accepted the award for Western Reserve Bank for contributions on the corporate level.

Lifetime Achievement Award:

Don Simmons
Mr. Don Simmons, Simmons Brothers Construction was honored for his lifetime of leadership and multiple contributions to Medina County.
