Wadsworth City

Home of the famous Blue Tip Festival, this lovely area is also home to over 70 manufacturing and more than 40 diversified industrial establishments. Located in the southeast corner of Medina County, the Wadsworth area is bisected by I-76 and is only 13 miles west of Akron and 35 miles south of Cleveland. Wadsworth has a revitalized central business district and offers industrial sites in the Quantum Center Industrial Park and Wadsworth Corporate Park, as well as several other industrial sites throughout the city. All industrial sites are located within Wadsworth’s Community Reinvestment Area where real property tax abatement is possible. Wadsworth Corporate Park is designated a Foreign Trade Zone which offers unique benefits.

Wadsworth Community Partners Project is community, schools and government working together to preserve our city of pride and promise. Wadsworth City Schools has teamed with community partners taking an innovative approach to a new High School. The High School is partially funded under the Classroom Facilities Assistance Program administered by the Ohio School Facilities Commission. The 450,000square foot building will also incorporate a health center, fitness center, Center for Older Adults, a health center, WCTV, and a community library.
