Lafayette Township is located in Northeast Ohio’s Medina County, part of the Cleveland/Akron metropolitan area. Situated immediately southwest of the city of Medina, the county seat, Lafayette Township features excellent roads and ready access to a wide array of shopping venues and conveniences while retaining a relaxed and rural flavor.

The township enjoys a mix of rural areas, including working farms, newer residential communities, park lands and commercial and recreational areas. Lafayette Township has a Community Reinvestment Area where real property tax abatement is possible.

Lafayette Township is only a few minutes from major interstates, including I-71 and I-76, providing easy commutes to Cleveland (30 miles) and Akron (25 miles).
