Westfield Center, founded in 1826, is a village, located within Westfield Township, with a population of approximately 1,113 in 2003. Westfield Township is served by two major highways I71 and SR224/I76 making it a major transportation hub in northeast Ohio; located 40 minutes south of Cleveland or 30 minutes west of Akron.

The village, Westfield Center, was assigned the Post Office name “Le Roy” and the two names were used interchangeably until it was incorporated in 1914 as Le Roy, Ohio. In the early 1970’s, the name was changed back to Westfield Center.

This cozy community is the home of Westfield Insurance, the largest employer in Medina County. Westfield Group employs over 2,500 nationwide, including 1,700 in their Medina County-based home office.
