York Township

York Township, settled in 1830, is conveniently located 30 miles south of Cleveland and 30 miles west of Akron. It offers a balance of residential and park lands, combined with both commercial and industrial bases, which ensures an attractive community that serves both residents and businesses. York Township continually works to move growth forward while maintaining the rural atmosphere and small town charm the residents love.

York Township entered into a Cooperative Economic Development Agreement (CEDA) with the City of Medina, which consists of approximately 273.18 acres. The CEDA agreement permits annexation of properties into Medina City without being detached from York Township and the agreement further ensures that the City will not annex any other properties in York Township for the period of the agreement (50 years).
